Listener: Triagular aircraft seen regularly over Plainview

Robert,

I too have seen these mysterious aircraft.

Almost nightly for the last several weeks, between 9:35 and 9:40 PM, a large, triangular shaped (given the layout of the lights: 2 white lights in the nose section, one white light on each wingtip, 1 single red strobe centered on the belly) plane approaches Plainview from the East, then banks off to the Southwest until out of sight. The path is low, maybe 5,000ft or less, and slow (maybe 200mph or so). The engines emit a soft roar, not the high pitched whistle associated with most military aircraft.

Here’s the kicker…on numerous occasions, I have seen this plane come over with no less than 2, sometimes 3, escort planes (I would assume a fighter escort). As soon as weather conditions permit, I will get some photos and perhaps video and send them to you.

Long live Texas!

Brett

No photos yet? After once I’d have that big lens camera warmed up.

Might be a B2 with 16s following it. I was in the USAF 37 years
