The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: The stories continue to be published that document law breaking by public school officials. It is no surprise that many of them are fighting school choice but doing so with taxpayers’ money is illegal and demonstrates a lack of integrity. The whole issue mathces up well with the need for the legislature to put in place leadership that will bring us an effective ban on taxpayer funded lobbying. People must be stopped from using our, taxpayer, money for political advocacy.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Smokehouse Fire now largest in modern Texas history. Two deaths reported so far. Other major fires are burning despite Panhandle snow this morning.

The often overruled and always unreliable Federal Judge Ezra, issued a temporary restraining order to stop Texas from enforcing SB4 which allows state officers to arrest those who cross the border illegally.
