Our Lone Star story of the day: The Washington, DC border bill talk is exemplary of how most career politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, think alike, wrongly. To them it’s always “pass a bill” but passing bills is often no solution to problems at all. What matters is what is in the bills and what those laws do but that is always of secondary interest to swamp-swimmers. Their interest is in solving, not the border problem, but the political problem that stems from the border crisis. As with most issues, they want to “pass a bill” so that it temporarily takes the issue off of the political burner for whatever election is upcoming. Some stories used in today’s lesson:
