Anti-Wimp: Customer shoots armed robber, returns stolen items to restaurant victims in Houston [video]

According to Houston police, a shooting occurred at Ranchito Taqueria at 11:30 p.m. Thursday while customers were dining. Video, below, shows a suspect wearing a ski mask entering and pointing a handgun at patrons.

The robber was said to have demanded money from the diners. As the robber walked past a booth, an armed customer drew his weapon and shot the robber multiple times. The man proceeded to take the already collected stolen goods from the robber and returned all to those from whom it was taken.

In a twist to the story, the armed customer as well as all the other patrons left the restaurant. When police arrived only the restaurant owner and workers were on the scene – as well as the body of the now deceased robber.

The predictable follow-up: Mother of taqueria suspect killed by customer in self-defense speaks out.  “He’s not the monster that people picture him to be,” Goodman said.  No, he was that monster. Criminal behavior is ultimately always selfish, self-centered action and it hurts so many people beyond direct victims.
