What can you do? Run your own Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operation now

Run your own effective Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operation this weekend through Tuesday.

There is no margin of error, turnout is everything at this point and you can truly help in this 2020 General Election.

1) Get on the phone, social media, and texter all weekend and Monday and ask friends, family members, neighbors, church friends, and work associates if they have voted. You don’t need to ask most people for whom they’ll vote but do note such if they tell you.

2) Keep a list of those you contact who have not yet voted whether the say they plan to on Tuesday or not. This is your GOTV database.

3) As you assemble your GOTV list from within your orbit of life, mark off any who told you they are voting Democrat or for whom you have legitimate reasons to believe they may vote Left. Highlight any who expressed support for Trump or Republicans.

4) Over the weekend and on Monday, call those whom you think might possibly need help, as in a ride or an companion, to get to the polls on Tuesday. Call these people and ask them if you can help with a ride or similar. If any express a desire for such, arrange times to take these people to the polls.

Do all your work in order of priority. Those who have expressed support for President Trump and Republicans get the first contact and the most attention and effort to get them to the polls. Keep it all simple and sincere.

5) As you deliver the one person, or many, in your circle to the polls on Tuesday, you mark them off your list as having voted.

6) For all others, most of the people on your list, begin calling them and sending them messages on Monday asking them to be sure to vote the next day. If you know their situation, provide them with the nearest polling place address.

7) On Tuesday, start contact people around 9am and asking them if they voted yet, if so, mark them off your GOTV list.
If not, ask them, implore them, to please go vote – if not for themselves for you, or for the country, or whatever motivates them.
Stay on these people all day Tuesday until they’ve told you they have voted – mark them off your list after each voting confirmation.

Your GOTV list can have a few people to a few dozen on it depending upon how social you are. This is the best most proven method of getting voters to the polls who might not otherwise bother due to distractions, weather, schedule, inconvenience, or low emotional commitment to voting,

The election hinges on turnout and we must work like never before to counter the record urban early vote turnout in Houston, Austin and other liberal cities. We can do it but it is, ultimately, up to us and the work we put in. The GOTV instructions I’ve given you work and it is what professional campaigns do on a timetable – it works.
