- Travis County reports 7 new coronavirus deaths, total cases approach 16,000 – 179 fatality rate is extremely small, that’s why they tout the cases. Population of Travis Co. is 1,273,954 which is about 14.1 per deaths 100,000. Lubbock Co. is 310,569 thus its 63 deaths if 20.3 per 100,000. Austin politicians, and ignorant residents, are acting as if the plague is killing everyone. My guess is that COVID isn’t even close the top cause of death in Travis Co. each of the last many months.
