Good Morning,
I saw some articles on Facebook and saw some things on the news I thought I would share.
The Dallas Morning News did a great job of twisting [Lt. Gov.] Patrick’s message, from his interview last night with Tucker Carlson. I went and watched the actual interview, he did not really say grandparents should sacrifice. I guess if you put your left-ears on you can hear whatever you want. I don’t always agree with him, but I am thankful he said this. It is really good to know there are some political figures that are part of the minority on this topic as well.
I think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. The media has scared the hell out of people and convinced them it is best to give up their freedoms in the name of safety.
This thing is real, people are getting sick. However, the idea that saving people from the virus just to deliver them into a depression, shows how little people know about history. A depression will kill far more people than this virus.
I follow on Facebook the San Angelo Standard-Times, they have been sending out daily updates of the number tested, results, and pending. So I got to thinking the one thing I have not heard or seen is the total number tested and how many are negative. I went to looking online and cannot find that number. The closest I got was a website that said we have preformed 300,000 something test. The only numbers they are letting out is positive cases and deaths.
After I did that I was watching the Abilene news last night and they were interviewing a city council member after their meeting yesterday to extend the disaster declaration. The interesting part was, they pulled a resolution to suspend access to public information for 14 days. The news mentioned that San Angelo was releasing their number. During the interview whatever councilman that was, said they felt like letting out the numbers would cause more fear. Sounds to me more like they don’t want the facts to contradict their fear campaign.
This thing is real, people are getting sick. However, the idea that saving people from the virus just to deliver them into a depression, shows how little people know about history. A depression will kill far more people than this virus. My opinions are unpopular, even inside my own family, but they are developed form the facts that I have found. I have spent hours looking at this, reading articles, trying to find numbers, and more I see the less I believe the media or politicians.
Brady Rose
I heard on Rush that 60 MILLION individuals in the US had contracted the swine fly during the Obama era and 30 THOUSAND Americans were hospitalized during that same period with swine flu. Why all the hysteria now? We are a civilized country. People know how to stay safe!!
I well remember hospitals in Lubbock being full for a week or two and the putting off of elective surgery, etc. Over 10,000 Texans die from P&I (pneumonia/flu) almost each year.
A few more trillion national debt will cost us more in the long run and furthermore if you are really worried about the loss of life maybe we should do something about abortion, drug abuse, car accidents, medical malpractice, etc. Don’t see the world shut down because of those things, but that’s just the way I look at it, and my opinions are not always popular. Would you rather have someone tell you the truth or lie to you?
