During our interview today with Terry Eastland regarding race influenced admissions, see Second Thoughts About Texas Tech, the following came in from a listener:
“I am a medical student at Texas Tech School of Medicine and would like to comment on the issue in regards to using race as a factor for admission. I can assure you we are not moving in the right direction.
“I sat in a school body meeting hosted by Dean Berk and he verbatim said “nothing will change” in regards to their admissions practices.
“There was a huge resistance by the minority student body to this article by the Wall Street journal and the Dean quelled their concerns by assuring that the school would still select for diversity.
“The school is rotting with progressive liberalism and you are seen as a bigot for having any sort of conservative mindset.”
