Mayor, wife arrested for vote fraud while Dems pretend such doesn’t exist

Pratt on TexasIn our legislature, Texas Democrats continue with their rhetoric that election fraud is not a problem in Texas and Republican efforts to combat fraud are attempts to institute systematic voter suppression; something the white-only primary voter and segregation adopting and enforcing Democrats of Texas know a lot about.

The problem for Texas Dems is that we keep being reminded that there is serious election fraud in the Lone Star State, and worse for their positioning on the issue, almost all of it involves Democrats.

Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina

Take Edinburg, home to UT-Rio Grande Valley and county seat of Hidalgo County which has a county population of almost 900,000.  The Texas AG’s Election Fraud Unit arrested Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina and his wife, Dalia, for voter fraud this week. The mayor is charged with orchestrating an organized illegal voting scheme in his own mayoral election.

“Since last year, a total of 18 individuals have been arrested in connection with the Edinburg organized illegal voting scheme,” the Texas Office of Attorney General reports.

This latest was a case I’ve reported on several times in which it is alleged the mayor and his wife had numerous voters change their voter registration addresses to locations in which they did not reside to vote for Molina for mayor. This included addresses at an apartment complex he owns.

“Since last year, a total of 18 individuals have been arrested in connection with the Edinburg organized illegal voting scheme

“His vote harvesting scheme involved the participation of paid campaign workers, among others. Molina won the election, unseating long-time Edinburg Mayor Richard Garcia by 1,240 votes,” the AG’s office reports.

Both men are Democrats and it’s a Democrat controlled city but most Democrat legislators still claim there is no real problem with vote fraud in Texas.
