O’Rourke’s 1984 admiration of Jesse Jackson shows he’s consistent with bad judgment.

Pratt on TexasA fellow politico sent me a photograph of young Robert Frances, Beto Pancho, O’Rourke hugging Democrat charlatan Jesse Jackson. It appears to have been taken at a public event in 1984, the first year Jackson ran for the Democratic nomination for president, and is signed to O’Rourke by Jackson with a standard line of “Push for Excellence.”

And sure, the reaction of most is: “Look! There’s Beto way back then literally embracing Leftist radicalism. He’s grinning while hugging the shyster Jesse Jackson. He has always been a tear-America-down Leftist even when a teenager.”

Jesse Jackson & Beto O’Rourke in 1984

But there is something more serious about what that photo represents than just an association with a radical race-pimp Leftist and it begins with the date: 1984.

The photo shows a lifetime of not just poor, but backward, judgment by O’Rourke. In 1984 Ronald Reagan won 49 of 50 states and almost sixty percent of the popular vote. His reforms had the economy roaring after more than a decade of horrible “stagflation” (high inflation along with stagnant economic growth.)  Reagan’s reforms shot us out of the post-Carter deep 1981 and ’82 recession like a rocket and that growth last so long as to be the longest period of economic expansion in the history of the country.

Give him this: O’Rouke is consistent; he opposed our tax cuts under Trump and wants to throw away this economic and national revival too!

In 1984, the American people re-elected Ronald Reagan in an almost unbelievable landslide. Those people saw change that worked after having suffered over a decade of economic hell at the hands of both Democrats and liberal/moderate Republicans. It was real and even heavily Democratic states cast their votes for Reagan.

But where was Beto O’Rourke in 1984? Hugging Leftist radical Jesse Jackson and backing the liberals who hated every aspect of America’s success under Reagan. Give him this: O’Rouke is consistent; he opposed our tax cuts under Trump and wants to throw away this economic and national revival too!

There sure are a lot of racists in Texas and obviously you are not only a racist but a totalitarian, big govt, fascist socialist who hates America. Go f**k yourself!

Odd idea that objecting to the support of Jesse Jackson for president makes one a racist. The rest of your comments demonstrate your complete stupidity.

There are a ton of racists in Texas, after all , it is the deep south. I was born here and know it well. Difn’t Trump and his other racists just bring the Hungarian utilitarian to Dallas to speak at CPAC. He talked lovingly to them about how he controlled and took the same rights from his people that Trump and his racist supporters are trying to take from Americans now. They loved it.

You seem to believe that policy differences equal racism. Shame on you.
