“Cheater” would be a colloquial way to describe the latest Jodey Arrington campaign stunt in which the Washington-operator dishonorably violated a promise he made in writing regarding a candidate forum.
It seems Mr. Arrington signed an agreement prior to taking part in a March forum sponsored by the West Texas Young Farmers Association which stated that the involved candidates were not allowed to use recordings of the event for campaign purposes. Arrington signed the agreement but then had a campaign staffer record the event anyway followed by posting some of the recording to his campaign website.
Jodey Arrington can’t even keep his word to farmers when it is in writing with his signature attached. Why does anyone believe he’ll keep to any of the other promises he keeps making as a fake conservative?
There are many colloquial ways to describe someone like this but we’ll leave it a “cheater” for the moment.
On April 25, 2016, it was brought to the attention of the West Texas Young Farmers Association that the Jodey Arrington campaign was using a video clip from our forum on his campaign website. After WTYFA made the Arrington campaign aware that this was a violation of the forum guidelines, signed by both candidates, Arrington’s campaign corrected the problem by removing the video.
We as an organization would like to reiterate our position as neutral in that we cannot endorse either candidate. We appreciate the attendance and cooperation of both candidates. Our association’s goal with the forum was to gain a better understanding of each participants view on issues pertaining to our community and district. We feel that it was a success in that regard and look forward to working closely with our future representative.
