In Part I: GOP race for TX19 gets “Curiouser and curiouser!” I wrote: “Has the Neugebauer camp decided to pick their own replacement with the ads for Michael Bob Starr? It could be and it might not be the case at all. We will not be able to see who funded the newly formed PAC until next week.”
Turns out that we didn’t get that funding disclosure because the Federal report due only covered items through 31 December 2015. This PAC was started in January and thus didn’t have to file its financial activity.
But today Mitch Barnett, a former district director for U.S. Rep. Neugebauer posted to his facebook page a thank you and link to the advert the PAC is running in support of a candidate.
The “Curiouser and curiouser!” part today is that the person first “liking” Barnett’s post is none other than Chanda Allen, Congressman Randy Neugebauer’s political person in the district.

Neugebauer told KFYO radio this week that he was not takings sides in the race, at least until a runoff. Well, if he’s not taking sides it seems his political organization is.
What will voters think about a Congressman trying to handpick his successor? What would be the reasons for such? To whom would such a candidate owe loyalty if elected? So many questions, so little information from the PAC spending someone’s money.
