To all of you who elected me to help change whats going on in Abilene and at City Hall, I NEED YOUR HELP! City Hall management decided this week to post the 30.06 signs banning the legal carry of concealed firearms into city hall.
The argument or “logic” as they say is because there is a municipal court on premise (which in a court you Can NOT carry legally- I know that), but the court has its OWN entrance for the public with Metal Detectors and Marshalls, and has no access for the general public to just go between the two without walking outside.
Texas has been a CHL state since the MID 90’s. Our State Legislature just passed open carry (effictive Jan 1, 2016) and campus carry (effictive Aug 1, 2016). This is TEXAS!
I hope each and every one of my pro-gun freedom loving friends will take 5 minutes to email the city council and tell them this is a load of CRAP (I have a few choice other words- but I’ll leave it at that).

Savage is set to appear on Pratt on Texas today. He tells Pratt on Texas that he is immediately filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s office.
UPDATE: Councilman Savage says he and other council members have been notified the signs will be coming down. However, you still need to contact members to express your opinion as staff is fishing for an reason to put them back up.
I think they need to wake up to the “gun free zone” BS and see what that history has taught us from those so called gun free zones!
I couldn’t agree more. My weapon goes everywhere with me.
