Pratt,
FDA apparently all ready to shut down EBT nation wide in November – initiating the dependency zombie apocalypse. The Sunday “snafu” was a good trial run.

Regarding the Sunday EBT snafu – a simple question. In what financial system does the system default to infinite credit/no limits in the event of a a database failure, power failure, connection failure, etc?

If ATMs loose connection to the sever or loose power they do not start spitting out 20’s. If the credit card terminal can’t connect to the bank your debit card is denied, it isn’t granted infinite credit.
I might accuse the idiots given the health exchange contract after totally bungling the Canadian system, but wouldn’t normally attribute this kind of bungling to Xerox.
Just a thought.
