Gary Boren discusses his race to fill an unexpired term on the Lubbock City Council – election day is tomorrow. I fully endorse Gary in this race as I have said many times on the air. This is a balance of power election for Lubbock.

Texas finds some registered voters wrongly flagged as noncitizens, reports the Texas Tribune as if this is some scandal. Of course that is the case. That’s how it works: Those that don’t match up get notified by their county and can then clear up the matter. Democrats complain that keeping voters rolls clean is somehow discriminatory but the only reason one would not keep such rolls clean and proper is if election cheating is the goal which, brings us back to why Democrats oppose cleaning the voter rolls.

Johnson County’s sheriff found himself back in jail today.

Oil and gas drilling rig count up this week in Texas but not my much.
