If you knew a candidate did not participate in helping or even vote in the Vote for LIFE would that change your mind on who you recommend in the runoff?
That is a very important consideration for me in an officeholder but lets take another hypothetical: If a candidate is pro-life and worked for pro-life issues but has other major problems such as not being qualified for the job; demonstrating complete ignorance on issues important to the voters of his area; grossly overstates his importance, involvement, and position, exuding massive hubris, and; has behaved in a way that I find extremely objectionable, should I support that person when there is a somewhat better alternative in my opinion? None of this is as clear cut as one issue at one time in one place.
Why are you choosing Paxton over Cornyn?
That has been explained directly on the show for a year and indirectly for many years!
I’m curious why you are behind Jim Wright for RRC. He is not an O&G professional, he is a waste and disposal industry guy who’s policies cost the industry as well as the RRC hundreds of thousands in additional costs with no proven benefits.
My sources are quite pleased with Wright’s work. And actually, Wright “built a group of successful environmental services companies that support oil and gas operations across the state.” Yes there are some in the industry upset with him, many others, as I’ve covered on the show, are supportive. The biggest reason I chose to go with Wright as opposed to Bo French is that Mr. French has spent most of his campaign talking about things that have little to nothing to do with the oil and gas industry.
Also, why are you “surprised” given I endorsed him in the primary election and spent some time of the show covering the issue?
