About 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the Independence Heights area of Houston, a homeowner heard a man break a window on his back door. The home invader, unknown to the resident, reached through to let himself into the house at which time the homeowner opened fire.
Lieutenant Khan of the Houston Police Department described the event in this way: “The homeowner was awake and alert and saw the suspect had illegally entered his home. He then produced a firearm from inside his house and ended up striking the suspect one time.”
The shot invader was taken to hospital and is expected to survive. The prepared True Texan homeowner was not injured.
All the better for Harris County, all the better for Texas!
