Just after 3 a.m. this morning, a man in Fort Worth experienced several armed men wearing balaclavas, which he called ski masks, breaking into his house. The man, being prepared as True Texans should be, used his own firearm to shoot at the home invaders and then escape through a window to call 9-1-1 as the invaders returned fire and fled.
The armed resident who fended off the invasion suffered a cut from the window through which he escaped the house.
By the time police arrived, remember that help is minutes away when seconds count, another man called 9-1-1 from about a block away reporting that he had been shot and needed help. He was found and taken to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition. He is believed to have been shot by the resident in self defense and one of three home invaders. Fort Worth police believe there are two others at large from the group of masked, armed invaders.
All the better for Tarrant County and all the better for Texas!
