Houston police report that a man and woman arrived at a residential address on McIlhenny Street at about 9 p.m. on Monday and were approached by three men.
The men were openly armed with guns and told the couple that the situation was a robbery.
Being a prepared Texan, the male victim drew his own firearm and shot at the three robbers who immediately ran away.
Police believe that at least one of the robbers was hit as blood was found at the scene. Police are checking hospitals for new arrivals with a gunshot wound.
Neither the man or woman being robbed was injured.
All the better for Harris County, and all the better for Texas!
