On Friday night in DeSoto, a woman was driving when she noticed a man in a pickup following her. She turned into her neighborhood near Woodbridge Elementary School and noticed that the man continued to follow her.
The woman arrived at her home and then called 9-1-1. She told the police dispatchers that an armed man, unknown to her, was in her backyard screaming. The man then attempted to break into her home through the rear garage door.
Being a prepared Texan, the armed woman eventually shot the man.
Polce arrived to find Octavio Flores Mondragon, 35, lying on the floor inside the garage with gunshot wounds to his face and chest. He was taken to hospital in critical condidtion.
All the better for Dallas County, all the better for Texas!
