Big border wins for Texas | Texas Democrats, teacher unions want Houston ISD improvement stopped – Pratt on Texas 8/1/2024

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Two wins for Texas (and the country) on the border and illegal immigration front: New York’s state supreme court tells New York City that it cannot stop Texas, or anyone else, from bussing migrants to the city citing well-known precedent from SCOTUS in  Edwards v. California. Secondly, Texas has prevailed over the Biden-Harris Administration requiring the Executive Branch to carry out the law duly enacted by Congress, and funded, to build the border wall and other barriers.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Texas sues the feds over the ridiculous decision to put the dunes sagebrush lizard on the endangered species list.

Another example of who Democrats are and how they lie: Even though the state takeover of Houston ISD is already showing measurable signs of improvement for poor and minority students, Texas Democrats and teacher unions want it all stopped and everything returned to its failed status but with more money of course.

Remember: Annual property tax misrepresentation season is underway!
