The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Texas’ RINO’s, Democrats, and big businesses, especially TAB, often claim that conservative pro-family and decency legislation (those “social” issues) will hurt business in the Lone Star State. However, the last decade has shown the opposite and now two of the world’s most renown firms are moving to Texas because of a lack of pro-decency governance. Elon Musk is moving the corporate HQ of the world’s preeminent space launch company, SpaceX, and the world’s most used messaging service, X.com or Twitter, to Texas. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar says no revision of the Texas Revenue Estimate is needed.

Lt. Gov. Patrick creates special senate committee on Hurricane and Tropical Storm Preparedness, Recovery, and Electricity. Note the “electricity” part – surely to enable a big push back on CenterPoint.

Dallas’ mayor Eric Johnson told the Republican National Convention that the catalyst for his move to the GOP was because Democrats were silent when BLM setup outside of his home to intimidate his children and wife. “Today’s woke Democratic Party is with the criminals, not with the victims. Democrats are good at using safe words, but terrible at building safe neighborhoods and safe cities,” Johnson said.
