KSAT reported: “Two men were shot by a homeowner while they attempted to steal roofing material at a North Side home early Thursday morning, according to San Antonio police.”

Police say that a homeowner heard his security system go off at about 5:15 a.m. and, via cameras, saw two men stealing roofing materials from in front of his house. He called for police help and just after that the cameras recorded the men stealing more material. At that point the homeowner, armed as a True Texan should be, exited the home and confronted the men. During the confrontation he shot one in the “backside and the other in the leg.”
The thieves were caught and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In another incident this week in the Alamo City, an alleged intruder was shot by a man who heard the miscreant attempting to enter his apartment through a patio door.
“The man asked the intruder what he was doing, and the intruder said he lived there, police said. The intruder became aggressive and at some point, the resident shot him in the stomach, police said. The intruder was taken to the hospital and his injury was not life-threatening,” reported KSAT.
