On Monday night, an Amarillo homeowner was faced with an instant crisis and fortunately, was armed and ready.
Amarillo police report that 38-year-old Jose Roberto Gutierrez-Torres kicked in the door of a home in the 800 block of North Nelson Street. When police arrived on the scene they found Gutierrez-Torres lying in the driveway of the house, dead.
“The homeowner, in an act of self-defense, shot Gutierrez-Torres,” police said according to a report by KVII.
All the better for Potter County, and all the better for Texas!
