According to San Antonio police, in the midnight hour of Friday a person armed with a handgun entered a 7-Eleven on San Pedro Avenue and demanded the register cash from the clerk. The prepared 28-year-old clerk drew his own firearm and gunfire was exchanged between the two.
The clerk believed that he successfully shot the robber but the armed robber ran from the scene well before police could arrive. A customer in the store was grazed in the leg by a bullet and was treated at the scene. The armed clerk was not injured.
