If the problem is school property taxes being so high that such deter economic investment, then work on lowering those taxes. Instead they vote for a scheme that transfers more local burden onto existing businesses and individual taxpayers. And worse, in a vote that makes a mockery of any claim to support limited government and personal freedom, enough putative Republican reps joined Democrats to fund a pilot program testing the state monitoring your driving to charge you by the mile. Lubbock’s Dustin Burrows voted for this monstrosity as did Abilene’s Lambert – it’s a program environmentalist-radicals worldwide have been pushing to get take people’s freedom to drive away!
