Some residents of the Woodlands at the Preserve apartment complex in Garland were awakened by gunfire at half past two Saturday morning.

A resident reported to police that two men forced their way into his apartment and began shooting. Returning fire in self-defense the resident clearly did a better job of gun control as police, upon their arrival, found the two home invaders dead at the scene.
“He was very cooperative with us. He was giving us information that these guys had forced their way in the apartment and began shooting at him,” said Matt Pesta, with the Garland Police Department. “But we still have to verify everything that he is saying.” (Reported by FOX 4)
