A black man in his 20s wearing a hoodie and a black mask walked into the WB Food Mart in Sugar Land, discharged a round from a handgun into the ceiling then pointed the gun at the store’s clerk and demanded money.
Being a prepared True Texan, the clerk grabbed his own gun at which time the robber began firing at him and the clerk returned fire.
“The suspect fired a final round toward the clerk before running away,” the Sugar Land Police Department said and explained that that the clerk was not injured “due to a bullet-proof enclosure surrounding the register where the clerk was working.”
There is no indication that the robber was hit by the clerk’s fire however he fled the establishment without the loot he’d come to take.
