The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: The campaign stack today includes gubernatorial fundraising numbers; an example of how media, in this case the same newspaper, covers a Republican event versus how it covers a Democrat event. And, the three Republican “Latinas” of South Texas are getting much national attention. There are other races too such as HD118 on the south side of San Antonio which will tell us much after the election. However, these races, whether won or lost by Republicans, will not evidence a solid trend in Hispanic voting. Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
