O’Rourke ad: It’s okay to kill some babies | Uvalde’s police chief fired | Another chip plant for Texas? – Pratt on Texas 8/25/2022

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: The Texas Human Life Protection Act went into effect today and Texas Democrats’ top-of-the-ticket candidate, Beto Pancho the fake Hispanic, dropped an advertising buy that calls saving the lives of babies “too extreme” for Texas. What he, and those in the ads, are advocating is the idea that it’s okay to murder some babies because of the feelings of the mother.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Uvalde CISD finally fires its police chief. The chief’s lawyer puts out a very long statement, 17 pages, that essentially, though not intentionally, makes the case for why Arredondo needed firing – it’s a screed of the type who will not take responsibility.

Semiconductor maker Micron considering the Austin-area (Lockhart / Caldwell County) for $20-plus billion chip plant investment.

And, other news of Texas.
