Texas election officials under “attack?” | Tarrant Appraisal District saga shows lack of ethics in “public service” – 8/16/2022

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Government folk have largely lost the “public service” ethos over the past couple of generations. The happenings at the Tarrant Appraisal District as well as the board’s reaction to such are a strong example of how out of line has become the attitude of government officials and employees in relation to the people they are payed to serve.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Are Texas elections officials truly being harassed to the point they cannot do their job? There is likely some rudeness and nastiness from citizens that is unwarranted but I can tell you that some of these officials bring much of it upon themselves. And do not forget, it was county elections officials who unilaterally implemented, without legal authority, drive-through voting, 24-hour voting, multiple ballot drop boxes, etc. Is it a case of reaping what they sowed?

It’s defeat Liz Cheney day in Wyoming. Texans gave her almost a million dollars – much more than she raised in her own state. What Republican Party is it that she believes she is fighting for?
