Abbott does big thing on border that does little | Shinzo Abe killing a big loss – Pratt on Texas 7/8/2022

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Governor Abbott does it again: Takes a position on the border that sounds tough but turns out to be empty and more expensive for Texas taxpayers. Taking illegal aliens back to ports of entry to turn over to the Border Patrol for federal catch-and-release does nothing but add the expense of secure transportation onto the shoulders of Texas taxpayers. It’s yet another move that does nothing to reduce or discourage illegal immigration. Currently our Operation Lone Star operatives do nothing but help the folks up out of the river safely and around the few theater barriers we have constructed and hold them in groups for the feds to pick up. Now we’ll pay to transport them back to ports of entry to turn them over to the feds!

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Oil & gas rig count and Biden selling some of our strategic reserve to China connected company to which his son is connected.

The assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is a loss for the West. His commitment to stop China from invading Taiwan and other aggression was second to no one of importance in the region. America lost an important friend.

Texas juvenile prisons not taking inmates due to staffing shortage.

RIP Ty Cooke.
