Texas’ border arrest program an expensive failure overall, reevaluate don’t double down – Pratt on Texas 3/10/2022

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: The U.S. and Mexico border crisis is worse than ever; Texas is spending huge amounts of our money and yet that spending has proven largely ineffectual, and; D.C. Democrats just passed an giant omnibus spending bill that provides massive border security funding, not for us but, for other countries like Libya, Jordan, Egypt and more!

Abbott’s Operation Lone Star is finally being expanded beyond two counties but not by much and the whole thing has inarguably done nothing to discourage illegal crossings as we keep setting new “record levels.”

This is not sound policy. If it worked it would be great but it has not worked and thus is wasting huge amounts of our money.

We just lock some of them up and get them fed and healthy with taxpayer funded medical care and meals and then turn them over to the feds who release them into the country. This is not sound policy. If it worked it would be great but it has not worked and thus is wasting huge amounts of our money.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Local sales tax numbers are out and such numbers show how ridiculous it is that most local municipalities raised property taxes for this year’s budget.

A bit more on inflation and information on Russian oil.
