Texas press works to mislead voters on Paxton | Tray Payne, Lubbock mayor candidate interview – Pratt on Texas 3/4/2022

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Today’s press review contains examples of how the Texas press will completely mischaracterize a story to attack Republican officials. During a primary runoff in which Attorney General Ken Paxton is a candidate, the Hearst papers have run a headline that dishonestly paints Paxton as having engaged in fraud when in reality the story is one of the state getting a big win over Medicaid cheats. Then, after much criticism of Paxton for having the state sue Twitter, the state press doesn’t bother to report Twitter’s second loss in its counter suit claiming the case is merely political retribution.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
