Dan Patrick in which it is reported that Patrick, I guess as unhappy with Abbott as many other conservatives, attempted to recruit former Gov. Rick Perry to challenge Abbott this time around. Other than that bit, the story is a cogent account of things already known such as Patrick leads on conservative issues and makes life hard on senators who act as RINOs and has real problems with the anti-conservatism of House leadership and Speaker Phelan.
