According to KWTX, Killeen Police Chief Charles Kimble said local police officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a suspect’s house Tuesday morning and the wanted man got in a vehicle and fled the scene. A chose ensued into Harker Heights, Nolanville and back into Killeen.
“Police said the fugitive wrecked the Nissan he was driving and then proceeded to the intersection of Rosewood and the Central Texas Expressway access road, where he allegedly attempted to carjack a driver at gunpoint.
“The driver was also armed and shot the suspect several times in self defense, police said.
“Kimble said the suspect – described only as a 31-year-old man – suffered gunshot wounds and was airlifted to a hospital in Temple, Texas,” KWTX reported. Click for more.
