The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: Once again the Texas legislature quits early leaving critical issues unheard by the people’s representatives. Redistricting is accomplished and in a good way (and of course Democrat front groups are already filing lawsuits.) But legislators left town without passing meaningful property tax relief and, more importantly and damnable, they didn’t vote to take on the federal government over employer mandated medical procedures. This is a sellout of your fundamental human rights and sets a precedent that government can order that you have whatever medical procedure or take whatever drug it demands in order to have a right to work and provide for yourself and your family. It is immoral, damnable, and without excuse.
Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
With redistricting done, campaign announcements are piling up. Rep. Glen Rogers already has a conservative opponent for his new Texas house district lines.
And more news of Texas.
