Border debacle in Del Rio | Mary O’Grady on Latin American Marxism | Redistricting lawsuit – Pratt on Texas for 9/17/2021

The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Gov. Abbott announced yesterday the feds requested Texas’ help to close border crossings in the Del Rio area of the border but then the White House canceled that. Del Rio shut its city run bridge down today anyway while video from Congressman Chip Roy shows people just walking across the river in a long line without use of a bridge. Over 12,000 said to be sheltered under that bridge in Del Rio and the entire situation is a mess Biden doesn’t want the American people or the world to see. Biden has had the FAA issue a temporary flight restriction zone around the calamity to prevent media from using drones to give us pictures of how bad it is.

Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Wall Street Journal’s Mary O’Grady on the unending popularity of Marxism with Latin America’s power hungry psuedo-elites.

Judge fast tracks lawsuit against Abbott by parents who want school mask mandates.

State asks court to throw out Democrat lawsuit over redistricting work to be done in the coming special legislative session.
