One lawsuit is an embarrassment of frivolity, the second is frivolous too but gets a fellow Leftwing Democrat judge in Austin to issue a temporary restraining order of arrest or confinement of absent lawmakers. Meanwhile, all the lamenting about bad feeling and broken trust from some Republicans demonstrates how ignorant and wimpy are many in the GOP we’ve elected – they don’t seem to comprehend the cultural and political war we are in for the survival of the country.

Abbott looks even more feckless as he finds a way to extend legislative funding for a month beyond the fiscal year taking his own bargaining chip off the table. It’s a mess mostly of his making and if it ends up putting redistricting in the hands of the courts it will be disaster.
