The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: State and national media continue to speculate and report on upcoming primary challenges to Gov. Greg Abbott. Politico had a big piece on actor McConaughey supposedly making calls around the state to test the waters and Don Huffines is talking having Texas build its own border wall. Remembering that six weeks is an eternity in politics, at present I don’t think the both of them teamed together could beat Abbott. But, a heck of a lot can change before next year’s primary season which may be pushed quite late due to redistricting.
Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
