The Houston Chronicle reports: “An apparently jilted ex-lover was shot after he kicked down an apartment door belonging to his ex-girlfriend early Wednesday, police say.”
Police say that Orrian Anders, 48, went to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in southeast Houston at half-past-midnight and broke down the door to enter the dwelling.
The new boyfriend was present and after being attacked by Anders, the new beau pulled a gun and shot the intruder “in fear for his safety,” Houston PD Lt. Larry Crowson said.

The current boyfriend was not charged and Andres is in hospital facing a charge of burglary of a habitation.
