There are other fine candidates who bring value to the race, but none of those who have a record of supporting conservative causes and candidates have gained traction except Ekstrom who has a proven record of political conservatism.
Ekstrom’s main opponent in money-raising and endorsements at least, Josh Winegarner, is being backed by the political insiders and swamp-swimmers of Washington DC – the non-conservative reform type. He is likely a fine fellow but it is clear from endorsements and donations to whom he would owe his service: trade groups and DC-insiders.
Retired Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, a Levelland-native, and former White House physician appears to be a fine, highly accomplished man but that accomplishment is in the Washington-run bureaucracy not in the private marketplace in which we all live and need a Congressman to protect.
As to Elaine Hays, she ran before and appeared on Pratt on Texas telling all how conservative she was. Later she was elected to the Amarillo City Council and demonstrated, siding with much government growth and tax increases, that her conservative credentials were little more than fantasy.
Chris Ekstrom for Texas 13th Congressional District
Chris Ekstrom
For Texas 13th Congressional District I recommend full-throated conservative, and NOT the choice of the D.C. Swamp-swimmer establishment, Chris Ekstrom.

Update: Read the endorsement of Ekstrom by The Amarillo Pioneer (that area’s only conservative news source.)
