According to Fisher County Chief Deputy Sheriff Lance Clark, police were called to a house in Roby about 1 a.m. on Tuesday, 23 July 2019.
“Hector Castillo Jr., 47, who had previously threatened to kill the homeowner and her son, was spotted near the home.
“Castillo was gone when deputies arrived.
“While deputies searched the neighborhood, Castillo came back to the home.
“Clark said Castillo confronted the victim’s 22-year-old son who was outside smoking.
“The victim’s son shot Castillo in the upper torso.”
According to the KTXS report Castillo was flown to UMC Lubbock’s trauma center and that he eventually died. An autopsy is pending.
Deputy Clark told media that at one time Castillo had been “involved” with the homeowner but had been “separated” for several years and that Castillo had a history of stalking her.
