A Corpus Christ homeowner, a 30-year-old DPS trooper was alerted by his security system of an intruder on his property at about 1:30am.
The homeowner found the intruder inside his personal vehicle parked in his driveway.
“There was some type of confrontation that led to the homeowner shooting the suspect,” Corpus Christ police officer Travis Pace.
“The trooper provided first aid to the man until paramedics arrived, according to police. The man’s identity has not been released. Corpus Christi police is leading the investigation with support from the Texas Rangers, Pace said,” according to the Caller Times.
