You are the counterforce to the Austin Lobby, act now

Pratt on TexasVoters should know that among the Republicans joining with House Democrats to oppose and kill the bill that limits local governments from taking our money and then using it to lobby legislators to vote against our interests, SB 29, were Abilene’s Stan “for-the-Lobby” Lambert; San Angelo’s Drew Darby; Canadian’s Ken King, and Amarillo’s Four Price and John Smithee.

The vote on this bill, restraining taxpayer funded lobbying against taxpayers, is a beacon telling voters whether their reps principally back them, or whether their reps’ real role in Austin is to back other elected officials.

HD 71’s Stan “for-the-Lobby” Lambert

Abilene’s Stan “for-the-Lobby” Lambert; San Angelo’s Drew Darby; Canadian’s Ken King, and Amarillo’s Four Price and John Smithee failed voters and showed us they represent not citizens but elected officials who want little between their desires and our money. Shameful.

In these final days of the Legislative Session, your legislators need to hear from you. They are under tremendous pressure to not pass tax reform in a pro-taxpayer form. Now is the time you need to ramp-up pressure more than ever as there are very few days left. It’s easy to find their numbers, just visit: capitol.texas.gov.

The taxpayer funded lobby is with these folks daily telling them to not give you more power over your money and your local government. You must be the counterforce and contact the offices of all our legislators now, today.
