While taking questions at the White House, President Trump was asked about his reaction to Beto Pancho’s announcement of a run for president.
“I think he’s got a lot of hand movement. I’ve never seen so much hand movement. I said, ’Is he crazy or is that just the way he acts? … I’ve actually never seen anything quite like it. Study it. I’m sure you’ll agree,” replied Trump.
Beto Pancho does often look like a wound-up teenager at his rallies. Add to it the bullhorn he used out in parks and other open spaces and one would think he was often competing with Al Sharpton to be the biggest street clown of the Left. But Beto’s real or contrived style of immaturity appeals to some people, especially the adolescent of mind, just as Trump’s brusk style appeals to others.
One thing is certain on the Republican side: The conservative base is sick of mealy-mouthed elected officials who will not fight back against the constant denigration of the values and ideas they hold dear. That’s why many will forgive Trump for a crass style and sometimes unwise comments, because they perceive him as being authentic in fighting for them.

Trump notices and says the same things most people do and that resonates with them; in this case it was Beto Pancho’s hand gestures in his campaign announcement that were actually shaking his wife’s body.
