The Dallas Morning News reports: According to police, two people tried to enter an apartment in the 3100 block of Cliff Creek Crossing Drive around 3:30 a.m., when they were confronted by the resident.
One man was shot by the resident, and police found him lying on the ground outside the apartment. He was placed face-down on a stretcher and taken to a hospital. The extent of his injuries was not known.

The second person fled and is still at large, police said. The resident was not injured.
