- Fact: WFISD adopted a
1.82%5% tax INCREASE but media stories and the words of district officials lead the public to believe the district did not increase taxes. This is immoral. Effective rate is 1.1744 and the new tax rate is 1.23 – this is a 5% tax increase.
- WFISD tax rate remains the same – really? What is the Effective Rate? The CFO could not give it to me on the phone and actually asked what the term means.
