The Dallas Morning News reports: “Dallas’ red-light camera program will roll on after the City Council approved a new seven-year contract Wednesday.
“While the cameras have come under fire in recent years from studies, groups and lawmakers who question the gadgets’ effectiveness and impact on poor people, most of the opposition on the council was based on a lack of black subcontractors in the $17.8 million deal.”
A solution to make things right could be to give African Americans a discount on their tickets.
