The Waco Tribune reports: “[Waco] Police were called to the Shisa Smoke Shop/Game Room… shortly after midnight on a robbery call. [Police] officers found Cedric Brown, 20, of Temple, lying on the floor with gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder.
“Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said store employees reported that Brown entered the store with a gun and threatened customers and employees while demanding cash. Swanton said an employee, “due to the suspect’s criminal behavior and placing others in fear of their lives,” shot the suspect.
“A pistol Brown reportedly brandished during the alleged robbery was recovered at the store and determined to be stolen, Swanton said.
“Police learned that Brown has an outstanding theft warrant issued by Temple police and arrested him on that warrant while the robbery investigation continues.” …
